ANiNjA
Ryan Halston AKA ANiNjA is a Drum and Bass Producer/DJ from Vancouver, Canada. His style focuses on blending deep minimal rollers with a healthy selection of MCs and vocalists. With over 20 years of making music under his belt, his sound selection is sure to get the attention of a crowd. Ryan began DJing in 2013, originally as a Hip Hop DJ/producer/MC known as SkyWryter hosting local shows in the Okanagan. He eventually found a love for funky glitch hop and began playing more electronic shows. After his first summer playing raves he decided it was time to separate his electronic DJing from his Hip Hop persona. Ryan's first official show as ANiNjA was in 2018. In 2020 his style shifted to Drum and Bass and he began a process of rebuilding his studio, followed by a move to Vancouver in 2021 where he has been active in the underground scene. Fast forward to 2026, many of ANiNjA's sets are packed full of his original music as well as exclusive tracks and dubs from some of his favorite artists with the goal of bringing the underground UK DnB sounds to Canada. Among all his musical pursuits he has also been a sound engineer since 2012 who has worked many of the best venues and festivals in BC. Currently the primary sound tech at Red Room Vancouver for Subculture Saturdays, it's safe to say he has a finger on the pulse of the underground electronic music scene.
