Before you arrive

What are the event & entry / exit hours?

Event Times

  • Gates open: 12:00pm Thursday, June 18th
  • Event starts: 7:07pm Thursday, June 18th
  • Event ends:  9:09am Monday, June 22nd
  • Participants exit by:  4pm Monday, June 22nd

Gate Times/In & Outs:

ENTRY
Entry to the event will only be possible during our active Gate hours as follows:

  • Thurs: 12pm to 11:30pm
  • Fri & Sat: 11am to 11:30pm
  • Sun: 1pm to 11:30pm

EXIT
There are no In/Outs except for local Salt Spring residents and other pre-arranged exceptions. For safety reasons, there will be no exits allowed between 11:30pm & 6am, including Day Pass holders.

Where is the event taking place? How do I get to Salt Spring Island?

Nectar Festival is taking place on a beautiful private location near the south end of Salt Spring Island.
Exact location and travel information will be available to ticket holders closer to the event date.

⛴️ Ferry Info ⛴️

Ferries fill up fast in the summer - we recommend booking now at bcferries.com.

If you’re coming from the Mainland, there are 3 ferry options to get to Salt Spring Island.

  1. Tsawwassen ➡️ Salt Spring Island (Long Harbour Terminal), arriving at the Long Harbour Terminal.
  2. Tsawwassen ➡️ Swartz Bay, and then transfer to the Salt Spring (Fulford Harbour) Ferry. (Fulford is closer to the event site)
  3. Horseshoe Bay ➡️ Nanaimo (Departure Bay) and then drive down to Victoria to get the Victoria (Swartz Bay) ➡️ Salt Spring Island (Fulford Harbour) Ferry. This may be a better option for those coming from North of Vancouver.

     

Salt Spring Construction Traffic ?

During weekdays 9am-5pm there is construction happening on the Fulford Ganges road, so if you are coming from Ganges (which you will pass through if you are coming from Long Harbour or Vesuvius ferries, please be prepared for single lane traffic for a portion of your journey.

Is there parking available on site?

Parking & Vehicle Passes ?

  • ALL VEHICLES REQUIRE A PASS TO PARK ON SITE!
    Each and every vehicle arriving on site MUST have a Vehicle pass, whether you are camping in your vehicle or not.
  • Vehicle/RV Passes are sold separately - no roadside parking is allowed.
    Everyone in your vehicle must also have an entry ticket. See our ticket store
  • Parking on site is limited - please carpool wherever possible.
    Use our Rideshare Sheet to offer or find rides.
  • Vehicle Passes ($40)
    A lImited number of Vehicle Pass Add-ons are available for purchase, in order to park your vehicle on site.
    *This pass is for vehicles up to 20 feet total length ONLY*

  • RV CAMPING ($200)
    We have a very limited number of add-on passes for RV sized vehicles.
    RV passes are required for each RV entering festival grounds. An RV Pass is required for vehicles (ie: camper vans, motorhomes) over 20 feet and under 30 feet length.  No trailers allowed. *Absolutely no parking on the road.*

Please be aware that the road to the site is rocky, curvy and narrow in places so plan for that accordingly.

Is the festival accessible for people with disabilities?

Unfortunately, due to the natural setting of the site, which includes rugged terrain, the festival is not accessible for people with mobility-related disabilities. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause.

How do I get to the event if I need a ride?

Use our Rideshare Sheet to offer or find rides.

Can I bring my children to the event?

This event is 19+ only.

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately, no pets are allowed at the event.

How do I find out what musical artists are playing?

Nectar Festival is thrilled to bring together a stacked roster of brilliant stars and talented selectas across multiple genres to enjoy in one epic setting.

What if ferry reservations are sold out from Vancouver to Salt Spring Island?

If ferry reservations from Metro Vancouver to Salt Spring Island are fully booked, there are still reliable ways to reach the island. 

Recommended Route

Tsawwassen (Vancouver) → Duke Point (Nanaimo) → Crofton → Salt Spring Island

  • Take the ferry from Tsawwassen to Duke Point (Nanaimo).
  • Drive south to Crofton (approximately 40 minutes)
  • Board the Crofton to Vesuvius Bay ferry to Salt Spring Island.

The Crofton to Vesuvius Bay crossing is not reservable and takes approximately 20 minutes. For the ferry schedule, click here: https://www.bcferries.com/current-conditions/CFT-VES

Alternative Route

Tsawwassen (Vancouver) → Swartz Bay (Victoria) → Fulford Harbour (Salt Spring Island)

  • Take the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay.
  • Board the Swartz Bay (Victoria) to Fulford Harbour (Salt Spring Island)

Is it possible to come only for 1 or 2 days?

Yes. Day Passes are available in our Ticket Store.

Some things to know:

No ins/outs permitted. Each Day Pass is valid for continuous access during the following time blocks:

  • Thursday 12pm to Friday 12pm
  • Friday 11am to Saturday 11am 
  • Saturday 11am to Sunday 11am 
  • Sunday 1pm to Monday 1pm 

Entry to the event will only be possible during our active Gate hours as follows:

Can I come and go from the event? (In/Out Policy)

Please plan to stay for the entire event - there will be no ins & outs. We’d love for you to settle in and enjoy the full experience with us!

SPECIAL IN/OUT CONSIDERATION for SALT SPRING ISLAND RESIDENTS

🌟 You must show ID at the Gate upon arrival & to request a special in/out permission pass

Can I get a refund on my ticket?

All ticket sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

A secure ticket transfer system will be available to ticket buyers. Secure transfers are an easy way to transfer tickets so that the recipient can be sure that the tickets are legit and that no one else has a copy. 

If you need to sell your ticket (or send one to someone else, eg., you're arriving at different times, secure transfers are the best way to ensure a smooth handoff. This feature does not include exchanging money - please ensure your seller is a trusted community connection and watch out for scammers! 

We strongly encourage you to transfer tickets only within our trusted community and avoid posting to the open market. A great place to start is our private Facebook Nectar Festival | Participants Group, where you can connect with other community members if you're looking to resell.

Important Notes:

  • Secure transfers do not include payment processing. Make sure you only exchange money with someone you trust.
  • Be alert for scams - always verify the identity of your buyer or seller.

I can’t find my ticket or my download page

Your tickets are available on your own private download page. Get to your download page using the link in your confirmation email.

I can’t find my confirmation email

Enter the email address you used to buy your tickets here and a list of all your orders from the past year will appear with a link to resend your confirmation email.

On Site info

Is there water available on site?

There will be water on site. However, the number of taps is limited. Please bring your own water as well as containers to have at your camp.

Will there be food vendors on site?

We expect several food truck options on site. Stay tuned and we’ll update as these are confirmed.

Can I get cash on site? Is there an ATM?

There are no ATMs on site. Please get cash before you arrive. Some vendors may not accept credit cards or e-transfer. ATMs are available in Ganges, the local town centre.

What is the Leave No Trace policy?

Let's work together to keep the land clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone!

We will have garbage and recycling on site but whenever possible, minimize waste and NO GLASS please. 

Can I bring glass to the event?

No glass is allowed on site. Please use cans or reusable containers to help keep everyone safe!

Can I bring alcohol to the event?

Nectar Festival is a non-alcoholic event and alcohol will not be served. We kindly ask that you do not bring alcohol to the event, as it is not permitted on site.

Is there cell phone reception on site?

Cell service is reliable for most providers, although we hear less so for Rogers.

There is no wifi available.

If you have a Starlink that you would be willing to lend us, please email production@thenectarfestival.com.

Is any kind of fire allowed?

Fire Safety ? 

Absolutely NO CAMPFIRES, wood burning fire pits, candles, incense etc.

  • Please NO SMOKING near or around dry brush. Please BYO pocket ashtrays or dispose of your butts responsibly. Don’t let it hit the ground!  #1 fire risk and they don’t decompose!
  • Camping stoves are ok, but please be mindful of where and how they are attended. 
  • Propane fire pits are also ok, so long as they are used safely and responsibly - you must clear brush around it, and NEVER leave it unattended.

If you see any unsafe fire practices, please speak up or get help!
