RAH
RAH aka Noradawn, has a nomadic spirit, having lived many places in her life. She was born in Alberta and spent part of her childhood in Florida and Colombia, South America. She currently lives in a forest on the edge of the South Okanagan Valley and spends time between her home there and the west coast. As the founder and director of Revel, a family-friendly dance music festival rooted in sound system and rave culture — she believes the dancefloor is a place of communion and healing.
She has been a DJ for around 27 years — first touching the decks in 1999 and playing out for the first time in 2000. With a focus on DnB and Jungle, she loves to weave the many musical influences that have shaped her throughout her sets. Her sound ranges from heavy, deep and electric to ethereal, soulful and syncopated — with minimal stripped breaks to cascading rhythms occasionally layered with melody and vocals. With a classical piano upbringing and a lifetime of immersion across genres, her musical knowledge runs deep, and with it she weaves these various threads of sound into a new story.
