With creativity, precision and an almost preternatural understanding of the medium, ÆNNIÆ’s kaleidoscopic approach to mixing draws upon decades of obsessive music collecting and their deep devotion to dance music born from dark, sweaty clubs in Scotland. The heady and energetic cocktail of drummy, variously textured and often euphoric music they tend to favour holds no allegiance to any one corner of the genre-map, instead traversing styles instinctively - from percussive techno to breaks, hard-hitting bass, drum-forward club tracks to heartfelt house and trance - and often leaning into the hybrid spaces between genres.

This musical cartography is also evident in their work as co-founder of Resonance Collective, where they organize events on Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ Territories focused on musical innovation, education, and simply throwing really good parties. ÆNNIÆ has shared lineups with Canadian-based talents like SIM, softcoresoft, Hrdvsion, Shanx, IHA, Subdidi, Mood Change, Njoki Njoki, Khotin, and Sergio SP, as well as international artists Hodge, softchaos, and bastiengoat, and they’ve performed at festivals including Memetic (MB), Wonderment (BC) and Samsara (BC). Since 2021, Resonance Collective have been throwing events, including their latest event series SHIFT, their former monthly Depot residency, and collaborations with crews such as Gateo (Van), Eventide (Vic) and Winter Arts Festival (Van).
